Georgia Prescription Drug Disposal

Prescription Medications play an important role in treating many of the conditions and diseases that we encounter. However, as a result of increased availability and the addictive nature of opioids and opiate medications prescription drug abuse has become one of the fastest-growing problems that communities across Georgia face today.

PrescriptionDrugDisposal.com was developed in an effort to assist with two critical preventive areas of the Prescription Drug Abuse challenge - Safe Storage and Secure Disposal. It is important to dispose of prescription drugs properly when they are no longer needed. It is only through proper storage and disposal that we can reduce harm from accidental exposure or intentional misuse in our communities.
